Noise - fan suspect

    Last saturday my computer started making this noise. It's been constant ever since. Will a fan run faster or slower before they stop working completely? I don't know, thats why i ask.

    fan needs to be replaced or be lubricated as i've done that a # of times with different fans & somewhat easy to do. but first must locate the fan that is making the noise

    ddp, question is, how would i be able to determine that without having the power on while i take off the side of the case and cause a shock to myself or mess up my pc? Thanks for your help too!

    ddp, ok, i just took it apart and cleaned the fan and it's air vent. It's quiet again. Amazing how much dust can get into a system from just being cleaned about a month ago.
