About a year and a half ago I built a budget gaming desktop and one of the areas i skimped on was the PSU. I know, i know... not something you want to do, but I didn't know that at the time. I just thought any old power supply would cut it. Anyhow, the problem is this: recently we noticed that whenever I'm using the computer we can't listen to AM radio stations without hearing a high pitched noise. I automatically assumed it was the power supply. Anyway, I was hoping someone knew of a way to cut down on the noise without going out and buying a new PSU. Is there a kind of filter that you can buy? Thanks!

As you say, the PSU isn't one of the areas you can skimp on without having issues. If it's definitely the PC causing the issue, it could well be the power supply, and if that's the case, I would recommend replacing the unit with a decent PSU such as a Seasonic straight away.
