    Hey Dudes,

I've got a UK-purchased Nokia 1600 that operated on Fresh Mobile (piggy backs on T-Mobile I think). I believe it was unlocked cuz I used European sim cards in the phone...

Now, back in Canada, and it won't recognize either Rogers or Fido networks. The sim card info is readable, but no calls made. Is this something I can fix or a lost cause? I thought 1600 worked in NOrth america.

    My serial # is 351898015945662

Any help or info you can provide would be great thanks in advance! :)

Will not work in the USA / Canada due to frequency incompatibility.

Your Nokia 1600 is a Dual band model and operates on a 900/1800MHz frequency as were you live networks run on 850/1900MHz.

There is nothing you can do but maybe sell the phone on ebay or use it next time your in Europe.
