thanks for your quick responce, unfortunalty after i have entred the code you supplied I am getting a stop sign and "phone Restricted", once these come on i have to turn phone off and on again to enable me to do anything,

any suggestions?

 

Usually when that happens, someone has entered codes with the sim in instead of it being out of the phone. If you're seeing it now, I doubt it will unlock.

 

i have tried your suggestion and the message i get is " cannot undo restrictions"

 

That message means it's hard locked to the original provider and will require to be directly unlocked at your local shop.
