Can anyone help with a query on unlocking a Nokia 6230 on Orange UK network?

I have used the nokiafree.org site to generate a list of unlock codes but have two issues:
    1. The instructions say to remove sim before turning on the phone - on my phone it just says insert sim
    2. being cautious I also download the nokiafree app from cnet but it gives me a completely different set of unlock codes

Which set should be used or doesn't it matter ?
Do I start with code 1 or code 7 - different sites say different things

    Thanks

Hi thanks for your reply. I have codes, but when I enter it it doesn't do anything after last # is entered. One site site to press green call button but that just gives me a 'call not allowed' message. (I've tried codes ending +5# and +7#). The phone is a Nokia 6230 RH-12 on the UK Orange neywork.

You didnĀ“t reply to my question?
Wen you make a code for 6230 you must use Asic6 Asic6 use code 7 and.....

    1. Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted"
    2. Press the UNDO option
    3. You should see a box that says enter restriction code.
    4. Enter the correct code and then press (OK)
