Nokia 6230b "Phone Restricted" - Unlock?

Hi, I bought a used Nokia 6230b Cingular phone. As I understand it this phone will not work with a 64k g3 sim card (that's what I have) unless it is unlocked from any carrier. It likes a 32K sim card.

Am I right in this? If so could you unlock my phone please?

Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted"
Press the UNDO option
You should see a box that says enter restriction code.
Enter the code given and then press (OK)

Thankyou! Everything worked fine. The phone unlocked from the carrier and now works fine with a G3 sim card. Worked perfect first time out.

One thing that I had to look up online (this forum) is that to type p you hit * 3 times fast and to type w you hit * 4 times fast, + requires 2 times fast. You all know that but I did not.

Is this restiction code (#pw+842 541 466 057 057+7# ) common for all nokia 6230b model ?

I tried the same and it didnt work for me ....Pl suggest.
