not recognizing disc

    any suggestions would be appreciated....after the encoding takes place, a window appears that says

    CHECKING DISKS

    please insert an empty disce to write to



    i have tried different dvd's....can anyone help....thanks

    probably bad media. what are you using?

    a couple different.... memorex, maxell

    thats your problem. stick to verbatim's only. although ive had good luck with sony up until recently.

    verbatim's go on sale generally 12.99 for a 50 pack if you check around.

    i appreciate the help...
    so it wont even recognize that their is a disc in the drive with the other dvds ive been using???
    with the verbatim does it have to be any type
    DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW??
