I had just recently purchased a GeForce FX5000 for my computer, a 1.8ghz celeron with a socket 478 motherboard, but when I put in the standard pci slot my monitor would stay a black screen. I tried everything trying to change pci slots if that would help, yet it didn't. Miraciously, it worked. After trying for a number of times it suddenly came to the emachines logo. When it booted up windows tho the screen resolution was very low and you couldn't see the task bar. I changed to every diffrent screen resolution in Display properties. It wouldn't change even after a restart. I do have the correct drivers for it. Is there something I can do to make my card work? any help is appreciated.
