Oh dear god help me. Swapped a harddrive and now the computer just makes a buzz/beeping sound!

    If you've verified by ear and not removal that the hard drive is the source of noise then probably not. But since the hard drive is new and I've seen no new drives that are bad I'm still thinking that something is being missed. Have you checked to see if the drives jumpers are set properly?

    reseat all power cables to motherboard & drives. reseat all ram & cards especially the videocard. clear the cmos as have found that to kickstart a stubborn system sometimes but not always.
