    i like dvd shrink as a free program.

    the need for Shrink is becoming less and less everyday. There are many programs out there that can do the same thing in less steps and therefore remove the need for shrink and the fact that it can't decrypt newer movies alone makes it almost useless.

    shrink is great for burning diisc images though or is there a better program.

    In my opinion they are not. I have used shrink for a long time and it has always worked. id stick with it.

    glad you like it. I like something else.. doesn't make any of them better then the rest. But Shrink is not nearly as good as it was 2 years ago is it. Last post from me, this thread has gone way past its purpose.

    Just to let you know shrink is not a burning program, however shrink can link to burning programs like IMGburn, Nero dvd decrypter.
    @AlphaMoth,
    And also here is a guide that using all free programs that will not have any problem backing up any dvd

    Also if you are going to spend money on a program anyDVD is worth it.

    also like gwen said you dont know you are getting the real stuff if you buy from ebay.

    @Alphamoth
    I live in Australia too I get most of my blank media from Dick Smith Electronics but only when they are advertised on special.
    DSE have a great website if you need to browse prices type DVDr into the search
    Ebay might, or possibly have good prices but you need genuine 100%
    I thought the Verbatims were an okay price especially for 100 spindle
    one last tip if you see a better price elsewhere take the ad into DSE and ask them to match it this worked for me recently :)
    Tandy had 50 spindle TDK dvd for $29 and DSE shelf price was $49 and they did match the Tandy price I was well pleased
    cheers

    they would be the inkjet printable 100 spindle? Good pick up I personally have had no issues with these particular TDKs but others are saying they are losing quality and that TDK are not as great as they once were... but hey I trust them at the moment
    keep checking the DSE website I believe it is:

    http://www.dse.com.au

    just a note you should get good image quality with CloneDvd the colour code says it all green good red might get some artifacts or compression quality at the present I refuse to buy Dual-Layers because of the price and compatibility issues... shrink your dual-layer movies to a 4.7 gig and you should be pleased.
