old cd-r discs wont read

    i have several cd-r discs that i burned mp3s to (they seem to be some of the oldest discs in my backup collection)that will not read in cdrw or dvdwriter drive. discs were created with old cd burner on old computer with old OS; created on win 98 and runnin XP now.

    Possibly the cheap disk have rotted.
    Do you have dvd xcopy rescue?

    If not you can go to http://www.321studios.com, purchase Platinum RF and get 321fix to add the disabled feature.
    Now within Platinum is rescue which will enable you to retrieve most or all of the data from your cd or dvd's.
