I burned some movies using 321 DVD Xcopy. They work fine in my desktop and all my dvd palyers but won't play in my dell inspiron laptop (win98). Ive tried different player software, stil no luck.

    Hi Tim--
Does it play other DVD's? The Dell I mean.

If it's an older system which it sounds like win98 then the DVD Rom just may not like any of the media you are using. It just simply might not play copied movies at all because the DVD Rom is so old. You could try updating the firmware for that drive in the laptop and see if that helps? Will it read data from the same type of DVD's you are using to back up movies?

I think it reads the media. I can see the directory structure in Explorer. I'll look for a firmware update, I haven't tried that. Good idea, thanks.
