Hey guys. New to the board. I browsed around and I think I have got the idea on how to backup games to be playable online. The only thing I am not clear on is this. The original I use for a Disk ID, does it have to be a brand new game... (like can I go rent a game from blockbuster and use that?) Also, does each backup have to be patched with a disk ID from a seperate original game? Does the disk id on the backup have to be from an original copy of that particular game? I apologize for creating a new thread for this post, but the mall closes in an hour and I wanted to see if I can get there tonight. Thanks in advance.

well first of all, remmeber your making a backup of a copy you own...and yes you need to patch the dna$ .imgs on ur comp before burning with the disc id from the ORIGINAL game, the same game.
