Hi, I bought a premodded xbox with smartxx chip loaded and a load of dashes to boot. I asked for just the regular bog standard HDD when I placed my order. Now after running a few prgams and checking the size of each partition and how much is loaded onto it, it appears that I only have a 5gig HDD. Is this possble as I have read in may posts that the xbox comes with a standrd of either a 8 or a 10 gig HDD. Have I been ripped off when I bought it by them putting in a smaller HDD? Many thanks to any replies.
Normally, E is what takes the 5 gigs.. C, X, Y, Z, take up the remaining space. I don't even think it's possible to run the Xbox on something smaller than an 8 gig. Chances of you getting ripped off are very low. It's not as if anyone really needs those 8gig drives; it's probably not even worth their while to unscrew the 8gig and screw a 5gig back in. I have about 12 lying around collecting dust..
