I currently open my dvd with DVD Shrink and then analyize the encode then burn with decryptor. Is this method ok or 2)))is puttin the dvd on hard drive with decrp. then opening in shrink fit it to the cd then burn it to the dvd using decrp. better? Thanks for the help.
Both these methods are fine, at the end of the day it's what you are happy with. I usually rip with DVD Shrink in re-author mode just to grab the main title and 5.1 sound, then go on and burn with Nero.
What works for you is best - DVD Shrink will handle over 95% of movies available. If you have problems try Decrypter. As with Bardie I usually rip with DVD Shrink in re-author mode just to grab the main title and 5.1 sound. Have only had to try Decrypter on 4 or 5 occasions over 500 plus burns.
Some have said it is better to burn with decrpytor and not to use nero? Do you agree with this or do you think nero is better?
i always use dvd decrypter first because i like the menus and special features so there is no point to reauthor if you do entire disc. pretty much up to you
how do you shrink the video to fit on the disc? Does decryptor have a feature or automatically do this? Thanks for everyones help.
If you have nero installed then the only other app you normally need is dvd shrink as it will analyze, encode, and compress. The only time you need to use dvd decryptor is to rip problem dvd's or as a burning utility if you don't have nero. Dvd shrink does not incorperate a burning utility into its program.
