opening ports

    ok i have read all the forums and i went to portforwarding.com, but i need help opening a ports for bit Torrent on my SBC DSL modem. THe model is speedstream 5100. When i type the default ip address on the address bar it says it can't be found. The default ip is 192.168.254.254. So how do i open the ports??

    Ok, I don't have the modem but I'll try to help you. If you have Windows XP, goto start->run->type cmd then type ipconfig. Then it should give you some information about your connection. Record what it says your default gateway is then go into IE and type that number in. From there you should be able to change or whatever you want to your ports. Hope this helps you in your journey.
