I was looking on NewEgg.com, and saw some pretty good prices (for around here)on DVD-R media and wondered how good prodisc is. Paying a few cents per disc and getting bad CD-Rs is one thing, but paying around a dollar per disc and getting a bunch of bad ones is another.

I just got a Pioneer DVR-105 and am having a ball with it!!!

They seem variable. I have only used Optodisc DVD-RW, and on the second 50 spindle. The first spindle about 5 bad discs. This last spindle No errors at all. I don't trust DVD-R or R at all. I like the ability of geting the disc back if I screwed up a software mistake. I would say pay a few cents more and get the Rw's. YOu can't really go wrong.

I've used about 100 1x speed and burned them at 2x on my sony 510. not one bad disc yet. i get the 1x really cheap in canada, the equivalent of about $1.15 US.

I've been burning Optodisc 1x and 4x with Sony and LG burners without a coaster. Very good medium.
