    Hi all

(we both live in PAL region land!)

I am trying to help a friend out he has original dvd ntsc films, and wants to back them up! ok the burn process is covered fine! and the films play but the lip sync is out at the end of the film? it starts ok!

I think it was mentioned that the original film also plays with lip sync out? i will have to clarify this!

1, Now does anyone have any input or views to this issue?

2, Is there a way of converting the dvd ntsc to pal format? would tmpgenc takes vobs to convert? or would we need to make mpegs first?

    Um? lost - please help!

    Thx...

I too live in PAL land and NTSC doesnt need anything done to it to play in any stand alone here in UK.
The early PS2's didnt like playing NTSC ...but thats about it.
I very much doubt (in fact never known it,at all) that 'your mates' original NTSC films have out of sync audio !

    hey there herbs!

yes it all seems odd, it makes me wonder if the standalone doesnt like converting ntsc films to good? so i suppose the rip would play the same if the original does have lip sync probs?

    Thx...
