PAL dvd in USA

    I'm in Europe. If I had sent an official R2 DVD in PAL format to someone in USA, one who has a region-free DVD player, would they be able to view it in any TV or does they need a multinorm TV capable to view PAL format DVD?

    i think they still need a tv that otputs 50hz and play 25fps. i think.
    this is never a problem to me as all the tv here supports both

    Most cheap dvd players available in North America play both NTSC and PAL DVDs but you might have to use some software to disable the region coding though.
