    Ultimate loader 2.0.5 by: Bronz3gh0st
Well folks as you know Bronz3gh0st has been absent for a little bit well, there was good reason. He has recoded Ultimate loader with a great new feature and even packed it down to one prx file and a GUI for Phat. And to think he has just started coding for the PSP, Amazing.
Normally when you are using this on a Slim you have to make sure your 3.71 kd and registry folders are active or you can not boot the Slim.
Well Bronz Has solved this: Now when booting a slim:
    1) Power off and remove your battery.
    2) Insert P.U.M.S. and push power switch to HOLD.
    3) Now hold L and insert your Pandora Battery.
    4) Release L when the MS light or screen flashes.
    5) UL will automatically assign the 3.71 folders and launch DCv3.
Not only that but now we can use both Hellcat's-Extended Boot menu and The Joker's-Pandora's Menu Launcher from the same stick.

Unfortunately this does require a new install and new files. I know trust me, pain in the arse. Hey at least I've steamlined the guide so it should only take about 10-15 minutes. Without going into a lot of detail there was a few steps in the old guide (all my fault, sorry guys) that made this required. I was trying to avoid any serious problems and it worked but caused us to have to re-install to enjoy this new function of UL. Safety cost me in the end. Again sorry. Now if any future updates to Ultimate Loader come out it will be a simple update.

10/18/07 There are now 2 installs: One for full install from a Phat and one for install from a Slim/Lite version for Phat users. This will cut down on the confusion. Look for NEW:INSTALL FROM A SLIM/P.U.M.S.LITE FOR PHAT section at bottom.
(If you have a Slim but have access to a Phat with CFW then it is still better to use the first guide you will have full features when using this tool on a Phat.) Get new Install from Slim Download in download section.

KLUTSH has made a GUI for the old version all worked great but contained this same flaw. So I have contacted him and sent the new guide and files and I'm hoping for an update from him. I will post when he revises the GUI and gives the OK. So for now the manual install is all we have, but with any luck this will be a thing of the past very soon.

10/18/07I have found yet another great feature in Extended Boot Menu. The option to format flash1 after an up/downgrade. This will solve the random bsod you may experience from an up/downgrade by deleting amongst others the config.se file and and flashes a clean set of files. You must reset your CFW recovery settings after this action.

Thought this needed quoted from: Mycah
"Thanks for your help. I'm good as golden now! 5 for 5 psp's done tonight, and even after a buttload of rum. Because of this thread! Its easy enough for a drunk guy to follow."
Man I love this guy. Now that's what it's all about.:D

    Just remember people:
When your stick is big, Life is good.:p

If you wish to have any unbricking/up/downgrading or Pandora creation done for you, Contact me by PM here. I only ask for shipping both ways. If your local to me it is free.:D

Want to learn how, need help, or want to help?
Please come in we welcome you.
Bad attitude, negative comments, arrogantly ignorant?
We didn't need you at the beginning, we don't need you now. Enough said on that subject.

    NOTE: From Lawthugg
Be advised a 1.5 kernel add-on is in the works. Not sure how long it will take untill its release. Maybe weeks it maybe months. I believe once this kernel add-on is implemented into the SLIM xmb booting will be available.

Always check back here at the main post. When revisions or addtions are made this is where they will be posted. Additional functions to come as time and testing permits.

We have figured out the ultimate (in my opinion) Magic Memory Stick Install. With this install we can use 1 mem stick and 1 battery (Phat Only) to have the ultimate downgrader/upgrader/unbricker.
    We can:
    1. upgrade slims to 3.71-2 M33
    2. upgrade phat to 3.71-2 M33 w/ 1.50-2 kernel patch
    3. downgrade phat to 1.50
    4. upgrade phat straight to 3.52 M33 from Extended Boot Menu then install update 4 no need to downgrade to 1.50
    5. start up PSP with Ultimate Loader with support For choosing which Pandora's you reach V1 or V3(by hold L trigger)
    6. Boot to XMB (Phat Only)
    6. Boot to a full 1.50 from Mem Stick (Phat Only)
    7. use PSPFiler and other tools (If it requires 1.50 slims can't)

    --------------------------------Install From A Phat------------------------------------

YOU NEED TO CHOOSE IF YOU WANT EITHER HELLCAT's BOOT MENU, JOKER's BOOT MENU, BOTH, OR NONE.
If you want both, complete the full guide except step 4.1 This Is for ULoader Trio.
If you want one but not the other Skip all the appropriate steps for the one you don't want, This Is for ULoader Duo.
If you don't want any of these then goto "INSTALL FROM A SLIM/P.U.M.S. LITE FOR PHAT"

NOTE: Can still be used by a Slim owner for full function on a Phat.

This will take at present count a 73.5mb MSPRODUO 10/10/07

    1) Install Pandora v1 with Pandora's GUI v1.5 lite

---3.6) Now hook PSP back to USB
---3.7) Rename your kd folder to hellcat

    4) Now we'll install Pandora's Menu Launcher

--4.11) Copy or move the kd folder from within the f0 folder to the root of your Mem Stick.
--4.12) you can delete the "F0" folder from your Mem Stick and the psardumper folder from the GAME150 folder.
--4.13) Now rename the pv1kd folder that you saved on your pc in step 1.6 to kd and copy it to the root of your Mem Stick. Overwriting files.

That's it you are done except additions.

ONLY PERFORM THIS ON A DIFFERENT MEM STICK. NOT YOUR P.U.M.S.

Maxsafe by: TEAM x4658 Suggested by: jd368

This will allow you to bachup/restore the nand and idstorage keys to/from mem stick on a Phat from Pandora v1. WOW people use this before patching key 5 with kxploitpatcher (xploit is used during Pandora v1 downgrade) for an umodified key dump.

    1) Install Maxsafe
    1) Set folders to hellcat menu in Ultimate loader.
---1.1) Turn off PSP and then turn back on. (not sleep/wake but hard reset)
---1.2) Connect PSP to USB and copy maxsafe folder to game150.
---1.3) Now exit USB mode and Run the Maxsafe Installer.
    2) Reboot PSP to Ultimate loader and set folders to joker menu.
---2.1) Turn off PSP and then turn back on. (not sleep/wake but hard reset)
---2.2) Again run the Maxsafe Installer.
    3) Connect PSP to USB
---3.1) Delete the Maxsafe folder from the GAME150 folder.
Done. Enjoy folks and don't forget to thank jd368 for his suggestion.
NOTE: ONLY use a nand dump from the PSP it came from.:D
Now when you load pandora v1 (have to hit brightness button to make menu appear) You are presented with a new menu.

NOTE: Straight from the mouth of THE MAN jd368:

As usual, set the folders to 3.52 version using the Ultimate loader, at the EPBM menu choose the pandora menu, click on the brightness button, this will show up the maxsafe menu instead of the normal pandora menu. In this menu:

    1) X - downgrade using update.pbp (ie 1.50, V1 pandora)
    2) 0 - backup nand to nand-dump.bin(the usual)
    3) [] - restore nand from nandimage.flash (requires the bin file to be renamed to nandimage.flash)
    4) /\ - rename the nand-dumpbin to nandimage.flash (these guys thought of everything)
Just got word from jd368 that Team x4658 has said there is a bug causing this function to delete the dump. Just copy your dump to the PC and rename it there to nandimage.flash then move it back to your MS.
    5) R - to backup IDStorage to the MS. This will store the keys in ms0:\kd\idstorage_backup\backup.back
    6) Start + Select to restore the IDS from MS
    7) Home to shutdown the PSP
    Hope it helps.
    --------------------------------------ADDITION 2 :D------------------------------------------

KeyCleaner by: Chilly Willy Suggested by: rik31

    1) Hook PSP to USB
    2) Place the keycleaner folder in the x:\psp\game folder (x is your psp under windows)
    3) Disconnect PSP from USB
    4) Boot to Extended Menu
    5) Goto launch custom app w/ flash0:/access and press O
    6) Choose keycleaner by pressing X
    7) Now choose Launch custom app again but this time with X
    Keycleaner should load.

    Quote from Chilly Willy himself:

"The keys are various settings stored in the flash. They are mostly low-level stuff that concerns the operation of things like the USB and WLAN. Screwing up the keys can result in the USB not working quite right, the WLAN hanging, brightness issues, or low battery issues.

Generally, you don't want to mess with the keys. TA-082/86 PSPs need one key to be modified in order to run the 1.5 kernel.

Old downgraders messed with more than that one key, so KeyCleaner was made to help clean things up if you ran one of the old downgraders on a TA-082/86.

The new corruption-free downgraders alter the one key, leaving the others alone. You don't need to worry about KeyCleaner if you don't have a TA-082/86, or if you used one of the corruption-free downgraders on a TA-082/86.

The one case we KNOW WILL BRICK the PSP is if you have a TA-082/86 running 1.5 (or one of the custom firmwares) and you put an original copy of key 5 back in key 5. The PSP will then hang when the 1.5 fw IPL runs. KeyCleaner will never write a plain key 5 to key 5... it ALWAYS modifies key 5 so that it is patched so that 1.5 will work.

However, there may be other things no one knows about that could cause a brick if you wrote garbage to another key (say you wrote random garbage to key 4 or 6). Hence the warning."

    --------------------------------------ADDITION 3 :D-------------------------------------------------------------

nandTool 0.1 by: cory1492 Suggested by: richluk

    1) Hook PSP to USB
    2) If you have a cemetery folder then copy BACKUP.ELF there overwriting file. If not goto next step.
    3) (If you copied the file in step 2 then skip this step) If you have a hellcat/joker folder then copy BACKUP.ELF to the kd folder overwriting file.
    4) OPTIONAL if you wish to run this from XMB then just copy the eboot to x:\PSP\GAME or GAME150 folder. (x being your PSP under windows)

Now when in DC v3 and choosing [] you will be presented with a new menu. See the included readme for usage.

Well not exactly quick but it's this or start over. Unless you for some fortunate reason made a copy of the Pandora v1 kd folder then you only need to rename it to pv1kd and complete steps 12 & 13.

    1) You will have to Download the Joker Extra's RAR from above to proceed.
    2) Connect PSP to USB and Delete your joker folder.
    3) Backup the contents of your P.U.M.S. Mem Stick to your PC.
    4) Now remove everything from Your Mem Stick except UPDATE.PBP and your PSP Folder.
IF YOU HAVE NOT DELETED THE PANDORA BATTERY FW INSTALLER THEN GOTO STEP 7
    5) If you did delete the Fw Installer Folders then Download them here: http://www.divshare.com/download/2487461-9f4
    6) Now connect your PSP to USB and copy Pandora Batttery FW Installer folders into the PSP\GAME folder.
    7) Next reboot to recovery and change the Game folder Kernel to 1.50 then exit to XMB.
    8) Now run the Pandora Battery FW Installer.
    9) When done connect to USB and rename the kd folder to pv1kd then move it to your PC. You will use it later.
    10) Next delete everything from your Mem Stick except the PSP folder and the UPDATE.PBP
    11) Next restore your P.U.M.S. Backup to your Mem Stick.
    12) Now use the joker part of the guide for the rest. Start on step 4.2 and end on step 4.15
    13) Next goto your hellcat folder on your P.U.M.S. stick and make a copy of the pspbtcnf.txt and the uloadertrio.prx files and place them in your new joker folder.

    That's it you done.
Don't foget to make sure you have an active set of folders. As long as you have a kd and registry showing on your stick your cool. If not activate a set by renaming them. Like Cemetery+registryv3, or hellcat+registryv1, or joker=registryv1 Renamed to kd and registry respectivly.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's it for now if you need help post here or PM me.
    Have fun and enjoy:cool::D

Be sure to checkout our official forum for the CSO easy installer. Things have changed quite a bit since this guide was made.

I remember this one-Definitely not for the faint at heart!

The guide above is the manual method prior to the advent of the UPMS cso installer.
I would not recommend using this if you are new to the PSP game.

Have a look HERE for the official UPMS forums.

HERE you can find the guide I posted for the UPMS installer.
