What does patching games do besides changing the TV view? Does it switch languages? If not, is there a possible way to change a non English language game to English?

    Thanks

the only patches done on wii are
1 to change region so that some games can work with some chips that struggle with regionfree
2 to remove the wii firmware update on the disc so that there is less chance of bricking ytour wii with the wrong region update

no u cannot patch a new language onto a game afaik

there are very few games that have language change options, and even less that have another language left in. check the wiikey compatibility chart as a few are listed. and generally speaking, its automatic if it happens (ie, play a jpn game and get english text instead of japanese). otherwise, it's a "no."

or you could play weird games like the japanese version of No More Heroes that has all english language audio.
