have you checked for spyware & viruses. check your msconfig\startup for anything not to be there

Well as far as spyware goes i have about three differnt programs that i use for spyware and aseperate one for ad-ware aswell as a registry cleaner, privacy guardian, ashampoo winoptimizer and another optimization program that i use to make sure that everything is neat and tidy but could i possibly be doing too much and instead of optimizing i am actually slowing things down?? There are also things in the msconfig/startup that are abreviated so i am not sure what exactly they are or what they do so i didnt want to mess with it too much.

than do a search on the net to see what each abreviation means/does

i doubt it as 1 program might find stuff that the other program missed
