I recently encountered a problem with my PC-Xbox network
I used to share files to my xbox from pc via a cable, i would put my files in a shared folder in network connections under the MSHOME connection.
However since changing isp to bt i was having trouble with my router continually crashing, i spoke to the tech line at bt and they talked me thru a procedure which involved deleting certain things, one of which i later discovered was my folder for MSHOME
now my xbox cannot locate my pc and i dont know how to make it so it can
    any ideas?

    Hi gordy5

Firstly are you still using the router??? you could go into settings on your xbox, and setting the server ip (internet protocol) to DCHP, and also do the same with your pc network?? and see if they can find and communicate with each other?

Also if you go to your pc, click start run, then type cmd, and then type, ipconfig/all, this will bring up a list of all ip addys on your network???

Make sure xbox is turned on as well?

Is your xbox modded or chipped? and if so what dashboard are you using ?

Would clear things up a little ??

Let me know how you go buddy
