I've got an abit KN9 SLI motherboard and the only PCI cards I have installed are:

ATI Radion X1650 Pro (PCI Express x16)
    SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum 2 eX

I've installed the drivers for the graphics card and everything graphics wise is running smoothly. I just downloaded the latest (non beta) drivers and installed them and I'm getting this in hardware manager:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
    PCI bus 0, device 6, function 1

Any idea from that how I can determine exactly what slot that is please?

I'm pulling my hair out on this one.

Thats not about add in cards. Its likely for a pci bridge or something on the motherboard. Did you install chipset drivers for the board from a cd that should have come with the motherboard? If you dont have one you can get the drivers from here http://www.abit-usa.com/downloads/driver/

Yeah I've only just built the machine and I used the CDs that came with the parts. It's only a temporary install which is why I've not downloaded the latest drivers yet.

It's just very confusing as it's showing up with an error.
