Personal Video Players - will they catch on?

    Hi I am new...and learning...

    What do you all think about these new things called personal video players?

    Apparently, they are made to play mp3s and compressed video. Will they catch on? I think they will be huge for the kiddies sitting in the back of the car.

    Awful IMO. People spend a big enough part of their lifetime looking at screens already. On the other hand we have to keep economy growing somehow by pushing new products - even if the health of "kiddies" suffers.
    The only thing I like about these players: Some of them are capable of playing back DVD+/-R(W)s full of mp3 files.
