Philips 8x DVD-R??? Good or crap?

    Microcenter is having a sale ($19.99 for 50)on these bad boys and was wondering what the concensus was.

    Here's my 2 cents worth. Looking at dogbomb's media code list, those may likely be cmc-mag-ae1. C-mags for short. This is a manufacturer to be cautious of. For $20 a spindle-not worth it. Check out office depot. They have the maxell's on sale $10 for a spindle a 25. The +8x maxells are burning great. Staples have the sony +1x-8x's for a hair under $10. For the same price, i'd go with the maxell's first,then sony -way before considering phillips. Later

    Bestbuy has sony 1-8x +r 50 packs for $22 without a rebate.
