I have a crappy philips drive in my xbox, and it is now giving me "dirty disk" error. Is there any way to repair this?

i'm not familiar with that bios it must be old the only evox bios i know are the evoxm7.ef and the 6 one if your is 3 then...
but an orginal saying dirty disc
the only thing i can think of is replacing you dvdrom
they do them on ebay unless someone knows somewhere better and try cleaning the disc with a proper dvd/cd cleaning cloth as even wiping it on other soft clothes can leave tiny scratches
but i think you should think about getting a different dvdrom drive for you xbox
as been as you got original playing problems
hope this has helped a little
