I recently re-imaged my pc back to it's original state so that i could get rid of all the rubbish. Since then my Pioneer has been incredibly slow! I just checked my firmware and i have version 1.05 installed so i'm trying to put a newer version on and it keeps saying FW is not supported on this drive? I've tried 1.09, 1.13 and the newest one 1.16 and each say the same thing! I hope nothing seriuous has happened to my drive, any clues anybody please?
Just a thought, have you checked the mode the drive is in e.g. PIO or DMA. Tho this may not affect the drive in dos when you are flashing it. But you mentioned a speed problem.
