I have just installed this new drive, which windows recognizes. When I go to play any DVD, the autorun function doesn't work. I go to my computer and if I click on my DVD drive icon it will say F:\ is not accessible secondary to an I/O error. Now... if I right click on that same icon and open it, I can see the files...

I have Interactual player 2.0 and Sonic CinePlayer. Either program will then recognize the movie, but will hang if I try to play it. Multiple store bought movies all do this.

Interestingly, I have a copied DVD movie that will play without problem.

I have seen other posts regarding this drive and I've tried changing the second IDE controller to PIO only with no avail. I currently have the DVDrom as the master on the second IDE and my CDRW drive as the slave. The second IDE is on IRQ 15 by itself. When I check the I/O settings for it there are two: 170-177 and 376-376. Nothing else has these values.

    any thoughts?
