My Burner reckons these Ricoh Japan DO1 discs are CDs despite firmware update to latest 1.29 version.
Anyone help me not have to throw it out of the window please?

Did you try to burn to one of them?

Hi, not on this machine. Burned a load of coasters recently tho they were bulkpaq but didn't want to waste these.
Did try one on a mates machine, no problem.
I also put a new hard drive and OS in to see if it was a system problem but no, it was the same.
These disks appear in the list of compatible media on the firmware update.
Under some circumstances the disk was read as 8ish Gb but not in Nero so I didn't risk it.
Machine has since developed terminal looking problems that make it die too frequently to be worth trying anything til I get either a new MB or complete machine but advice very welcome none the less
    Cheers, Ian

I meant with the Pioneer burner, with the media recognized as CD.
