Is the burned DVD slow on the PC or the standalone player or both?
Does a previously good, burned DVD still play ok on the PC?

As a test, convert the AVI with this program and use your PC media player (like VLC) to open the folder and play the movie.
If your other program saved the output to a folder, check those files too.

Import the file(s) (AVI, WMV,MPEG, VOB)
Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD.
Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv)
Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America)
