Playing burned cdr games really makes a lot noise..wonder why?

    when ever i play burned cdr games the ps2 will produce a very noisy sound...like the lens trying it best to read the cdr...this is not happen when i play burned dvdr....so my concern here...is really ps2 can play burned cdr games?(i never ask other people bout it)

    or am i burned the cdr too fast?i can only burned at 8x instead of 2x or 4x.....maybe the media too cheap...

    any comment/idea guys?

    sounds like you solved your own promblem but yes,
    1.Burn at slow speed
    2.Use good media
    Generally cd are a little louder and work the laser harder.
    If it's dvdrips that's giving you the problems. i suggest you stop now and get a dvdburner!

    Original Ps2 CD games make that horrible engine sound aswell, its not just cdr backups that do it.
