Not sure if this is the correct place or if anybody has already covered this?
There is a program that has just been released called "Gamejackal" This allows you to play games straight from your HD
This is great, all you have to do is put your game cd in, follow the mindlessly easy instructions and there you have it, no more cd needed to be used.
As far as i can work out, this just finds the relevant .EXE file and uses it to boot the game from your HD.
I have loads of games on it and they all work fine, they even load much quicker as there is no CD seek time.
there is a 30 Day trial at http://www.gamejackal.com
    Check iy out!

i havent used this program, but i think it will only allow 1 copy of the game to be used (i.e your mates cant borrow the game and do the same thing). i may be wrong but its just something i thought i heard somewhere

As far as i know, as long as you have a copy of game jackal each you can share cds.
