    check this out

    Hard Drive Compatibility Chart

i searched for the hard drive you mentioned and the results say that one person got as far as formatting it in a V9 PS2, but it froze at 20%, mabye this was due to a bad hard drive, or mabye it just isn't completely compatible with the PS2.

If you want to go ahead, then you'll need a network adapter and a copy of HD Loader

I would suggest that you get a bigger hard drive, since the one you have is only a 10 Gig

for installation instructions check this site out

hope this helps and good luck
