I finally got my SwapMagic with Magic Keys and NH3. Yay.

I had already done the tape and tissue method, so I only put in component 1 and 2. Yay, it worked.

Both versions of SwapMagic worked, everything seemed to be going just fine.

Then, I start a game, and the disc brake stops it. Oh no component 2 flew out where the hell could it be I don't know I can't find it. I don't have a flash light and I think it's in a really dark place. Is there anything else I can use to keep the disc brake pulled back?

But then I tried the CD SwapMagic again and I don't even know why the Ps2 reads the disc and it's spinning and everything and the game starts, but then it's just a black screen and the game starts making weird noises and it won't start and then it stops and it just goes back to the Ps2 menu, the disc starts spinning perfectly fine again, but the actual game won't start after the Ps2 menu goes away. I didn't even do anything to do the disc I'm so stressed out and nervous and wow I was so happy when I woke up and my mom said it arrived and now everythings f***ing up and I'm so ahhh

    please someone help :(

ps - I looked with a flashlight for magic keys it's seriously gone I have no idea. I still have component 1 and 3 though.

also the DVD SwapMagic (and every single other game) works fine just not the CD one. WHICH did work before once or twice so idk
if I had to describe the sound it makes with the CD one it's a clicking noise

Okay, now neither the CD or the DVD one work. They both make crazy clicking noises and just don't work. Every single other game I own works.

Should I contact them and get them to ship me a new one? If so, who should I contact? Divineo, or the actual SwapMagic site?

EDIT: Oops, spoke too soon. Now none of my games work. Period. Whenever it gets to the part where it has to load, clicking noises and then it shuts off. I hate SwapMagic. I do not recommend buying it because it breaks your Ps2. I am f***cking pissed off. Holy crap. What should I do?!? Every game actually STARTS, the Playstation 2 logo comes up, and then it stutters like hell and dies

EDIT2: Wait! It's not completely hopeless! Naruto: Ultimate Ninja works! Could this help in any way?

The games I tried that did NOT work were ... SwapMagic DVD, SwapMagic CD, Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 and Ys: Ark of the N--whatever.

And what I did was the following:

I dropped component 2 (of Magic Keys 2) in my slim v14 Ps2 and I realized it had fallen into the back part close to where the disc brake is. To get it out I had to turn on the Ps2 while no disc was inserted so that the thingie moved forward, then I had to use tweezers to take it out. I may of touched that orange ribbony thingie but if I did it was a very small tap. Does that help?

EDIT: Tested a few more games, here are my results:

Virtual Fighter 4 - Evolution: Works
Tales of Legendia: Got to "Now Loading" and disc starts to make loud clicking noises
    Naruto: Ultimate Ninja: Works
Ys: Ark of the N--: Shows Playstation 2 logo and after that starts to make loud clicking noises
    ALL DVD's: Works
Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2: Shows Playstation 2 logo and after that starts to make loud clicking noises
SwapMagic DVD: Starts disc, then loud clicking noises
SwapMagic CD: Starts disc, then loud clicking noises

I hope this information helps in some way.

ok, i'd say, remove all magic keys etc. get ps2 bask to stock.

then see if there r problems playing genuine games. if genuine games r stuffing up, i'd say u've done something.

if genuine games run propely, then carefully re-try magic keys.

    best to start from scratch.
