please help me windows detects and installs the hardware automatically

    i really really need help.... i joined this forum coz my friend told me that this is the best one on computers... i need a way to disable windows auto installing the hardware it instals something else this is about a dlink bluetooth usb i tried installing the bluetooth driver 1st b4 plugging it in, then i plug it in when the installer tells me to.. but when i plug it in the autodection and the hardware installation pops up reinstalling the hardware to what it wants and i have no control over it.. my friend told me that i am having a conflict... coz when i try to start the program that came with the hardware it sayz bluetooth device not found.. please verify that your bluetooth device is properly connected and turned on... i really really need your help guyz thanx in advance!!

    if xp loads its own driver & is found in the device manager, try updating the driver from either off the cd or from manufacturer website

    tried that it says the it can't find a better driver for the specific drive... like if its a windows driver it uses the windows program for it... but like if its the cd driver i guess i'll be able to use the dlink program for it... any help would be great

    see if newer driver from manufacturer's site that is newer than what windows loaded

    i got the newest one.. ummm do you know how to disable auto instalation of hardwares??

    Have you tried Hardware Update Wizard? (selected my USB as an example)
