Thank you all. I already wasted 10 disks on this. Its not the disks, since I used them before. This started to be a problem 3 days ago. I have nero 6 installed and now I updated to nero 8, I dont think its the software. It bruns all the way through to 100 and then it lead-out and says failed. Also it says illegal disc and such. Anyone can help me? Here is my log

I uninstalled v6 using the nero tool. and I newly installed v8. Same crap has happened on v6. Maybe it is the disks however it seems impossible, since I just bought a 100 pack of sony dvd r+ and they worked before.

P.S. This started ocurring the same time a had computer problems. Which I still do. Want to back my downloaded files before I consider reinstalling windows. My computer will freeze starting up or it loads and the moniter shuts off. HERE is the hint. When I do get it up it says new hardware found every new startup ACPI Uniprocessor PC. Once it told me to turn off ACPI mode by pressing f7 during text mode setup. When installing storage drives.

    THANKS EVERYONE. I'm DESPERATE.

    not got time now but...

you ever been in your bios? set defaults and save... reboot

do you have a ethernet card? and your useing it ok?

sounds a couple things here, you say you have new dvdrs well this could be a prob aswell as sony brand means nothing, its the dye code read off the disc that counts.

check your old dvdrs that ok and see what dye code they are. your new dvdrs are this:Disc Manufacturer ID: <SONY>, Media Type ID: <D21>, Product revision number: 0

    ID code D21
