Whats the ratio between games that work and games that dont. If its just the odd one or two, it may just well be a bad torrent.
What chip have you got? It may be an unreliable chip.
What DVDR's are you using? Do you use the same ones every time? What speed do you burn them at? Could you be burning them at too high a speed and thus some burning is not successful?

Have you always used the same brand DVDR's? If so have you always had the same problem? Perhaps try a different brand of DVDR just to rule this out, probably easiest thing to eliminate.

yes you burn the ISO file. I use Alxohol 120% and havent had a problem yet. I use the yellow Datawrit Classic 4x DVD+R, not sure what their reputation is like, but ive always used them and have yet to have one let me down.

I think it is reccomended to use DVD-R, but I had a DVD+RW in my PC before I had a PS2, thats the sole reason I use DVD+R. I'm not really sure which is best to use, all i know is I haven't had one fail yet using DVD+R. I don't know whether or not all versions of PS2 read DVD+R and DVD-R.

About 12 or 13 I think. Is your mod chip quite a recent one? also what speed are you burning at?

I think its either the DVDR's your burning onto or the chip itself, do you know anyone has a modded PS2 who could try one of your backups that you cant get to load?

At least you can eliminate the discs, if he usually has no problems with back ups but cant load yours I would suggest try different DVDR's.
Also try a back up that he has burnt that works on his PS2, in your PS2.
Have you tried a lens cleaner, perhaps this might help.

Try a lens cleaning disc, see if that makes a difference.

But when i download a game, the folder has like 20 .Rar files, with them i extract to the ISo file. But the folder also has a MSinfo, and a .sfv file, should i burn them as well along with the ISO-file?

All I ever do is extract one of the .rar files, this gives an .iso file, then I just burn that .iso file using Alcohol 120%. Like I say, haven't had one fail yet.
