Hi natcam Does the file playback fine on the pc? Give another program a try - here's a free one - DivXtoDVD. Set the standard to the TV format you're in. From your log looks like you would pick PAL - NTSC would be for US, Canada. Save it to your hard drive then when down use Nero Burning Rom or Express to burn the video_ts folder.
hi thank you for your info,i have downloaded what you said,what would i have to pick if in uk,can you help with a few other things as i dont no what i am doing,i down load films in rar,i then open them they then turn out to be vlc which i think is avi,& is avi like divx i sometimes end up with cd1 cd2 but when i try to merge them nero wont burn them ?,could this be because i have not done the right setting for the film in nero vision ?,any help would be great thank you natcam
Nero would be set to the TV format your in which is PAL. So you're okay there. Once you extract them with WinRAR they're probably avi's. You can also join/merge the avi's with virtual dub before converting them w/ divx2dvd. Fast and easy - link In the divx2dvd program you would set the standard to PAL. Merging the 2 cd's is Vision - I've never had one fail because I merged them but you never know w/ Nero In the 1st screen just highlight the files you want to join then look to the bottom left of the screen. Click on the middle button - merge. That's all it takes.
Just need to say this , not contradicting binkie at all .. and that's if in the U.k (like me) you wont need to worry about the playabck of NTSC as we're totally capable in this country. hi i burned the film but nero sad burn failed and to put 2nd disk in,by Merging the 2 cd's is Vision dose it not just put it on 1 c/d ?,i have tried to use dvd shrink but it cant find the file, natcam
Hi natcam Shrink doesn't support avi's so thats why it can't find them. Yes if you merge the 2 cd's Nero should put in on 1 cd. Did you save the log? You can post it - just edit out the serial #. They usually begin w/ 1A, 1C or 5C.
