I own an LG dvd burner and today all of a sudden it made at least 5 coasters because of this error

    PMA Update Failure

anyone ever run into this problem ? I dont know what i did to get this because I havent done anything out of the norm to my system. i had a stack of assorted dvds to copy and i got thru 4 out of 6 and boom this problem came up. I wasnt doing anything on the computer. I make it a habit to leave the system alone when copying.

this is a new one on me. Never seen anything like it. Has anyone ever run into this problem? I did a search but came up empty

Post your error log. I don't think PMA Update Failure is the error but an outcome of the real error.

if it's Nero you're using then its in "c:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory.log".

[bold]make sure to edit out your serial number[/bold] , it usually begins with 1A21 or similar and only post a relevant section of log - this logfile is appended to by all burns, good or bad you see..

I had this error today with my Lite-on 1973s and latest Nero.. I found a fix in another forum: do a disk cleanup especially temp files. That fixed it for me . I had over 20gig in that location after using Nero Recode. I hope this helps.
