Will the new pokemon games work on an R4 card or M3, I know it will load but Im curious about the online mode, the wifi battles against other people, and internet battles. Has anyone used the jap version and tested?

online will most definitely work [as long as it is your save(i have found some saves from other people dont work on some games, sometimes) and you didn't mess with working wifi settings]. download play is the only REAL problem for m3dss/r4. REALly...

    i'm hijacking this post now...

which starter pokemon is best and which one will you get?
    >turtwig [leafy dirt turtle]
    >chimchar [flaming fighting monkey]
    >piplup [wet metal penguin]

might want to cosider the internal clock in the game too. I most likely will NOT work. since its just a rom. If there is berry planting or daycare and such...anything that will need a battery in the cartridge for it to run when the ds is not running will not work. So.. i recommend getting the game itself and maybe getting the rom of the other version to complete your pokedex or something.

Wouldn't the game use the clock of the NDS rather than an internal clock in the cartridge itself?

people tend not to believe people... so i suggest downloading the jap rom, saving in day time, change the clock to night, and then see what happens... you get it now?

monkey with flaming cheeks you say...

yes. the ds clock does control the day and night, but woudnt the cartridges have a bettery too since, it would be way too easy to cheat by changing the date and stuff for daycare, and such? The thing is.. the gba cartridges had batteries and when the battery runs dry, the time still keeps going, but daycare and berries and other time stuff dont work. so maybe and maybe not :p.
