I was wondering if there is software out there that can change the appearance of poor quality dvd videos, or movies ie. too dark in certain scenes, volume has hiss in it, picture angle is off centered. Just curious if these elements can be retouched for better enjoyment.

try using the combination of DVD Decrypter, DVD Remake and DVD Rebuilder.

ok i just got done doing my first dvd with CCE/Rebuilder - FREAKIN AWESOME. finished .iso file that i burned was only 3.95 GB and it was almost a perfect duplicate of the movie (Signs). takes a little research and time to learn and get it down to a few clicks, but well worth it. i also bought the CCE Basic for $58 - that should tell you something about how great the encoding is with this prog.

Old adage - Garbage in - Garbage out.

Do not believe that you can enhance the quality of crap media without resorting to very specialised and expensive programs.
