    Hello all, I have a question. I was looking at the hidden folders with WinPartrol and came across 4 files ending with .manifest in my system32 folder. I think they are possible trojans because after doing some googling, I found that all of them related to trojan/spyware etc stuff. I try to unhide them, but then they automatically go back to being hidden, so the virus scanners dont pick them up. Can I delete them? I just wanted to know so I dont screw up my computer from something like that.

    PS
    The file names are:
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\NWC.CPL.MANIFEST
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SAPI.CPL.MANIFEST
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WINDOWSLOGON.MANIFEST
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WUAUCPL.CPL.MANIFEST

    C:\WINDOWS\WINDOWSSHELL.MANIFEST

    Thanks All!

    @bc

    I prefer VirusTotal over Jotti because even though Jotti takes a shorter amount of time, it only scans with ~20 scanners; Virustotal uses either 31 or 32. Just another random piece of trivia :)
