I have a power mac G4 quicksilver...867 mhz single processor. only 384 ramm...thats some of the problem. I just installed osX 10.4.6 then immediately upgraded to 10.4.9 via software update. My downloads seem a little slow, but not too bad. probably the low memory. im about to get a 512 ramm upgrade so maybe that will help. The superdrive is the issue. It's a pioneer superdrive...no serial # sorry. VERY slow downloading from cd to harddrive. 2 mb per second....normaly instant transfer. the drive has been leaving marks on certain rewriteable cds...looks like scratches but its not. on the writeable part of the disc. I Tried Many firmware updates for the drive but not help really.....hellp anyone.....email me @
