I've been dealing with this mess for the better part of a week and have no idea what to do.

first, I have a VIA 6421A SATA PCI Controller card installed and shows working properly in Device Manager. I also have updated the driver from the web to 5.30.
obviously I have an MS28 360 DVD drive.
I used Xtreme bootmaker V0.3.6.1422 to create a bootable SanDisk USB drive.

Problem, Anytime I connectmy MS28 thru the SATA cable to one of the internal connectors and power up the 360, the PC freezes. I've followed Textbooks Tutorial and the Flashing Guide by PS2Menace but I can't get to DOS while the 360 is powered. If I let it boot to DOS, then power on the 360, it freezes and the PC beeps internally.

Someone please help, I will be eternally grateful
