Not quite sure if this is the proper name for it,But I've read all the desync threads I saw and didn't find my problem.I have a clip that has no desync,But when I import it ont he timeline and preview it in the monitor window the auido plays fine, and the video either plays way to fast,or way to choppy.I've tried alot of different clips, and alot of different project settings but I still get the same problem, can anyone give me an answer to this?

What is the Audio Format in the AVI file??? If it is VBR Mp3 then you will have to decompress the Audio in the AVI file before Loading into Premier... But if this is not the case I wouldn"t worry about because editing Programs are not Video file Players but when the Project is rendered it should be in sync as Long as the Audio and Video Tracks are the same length...
