problem converting MKV to DVD with DVD Flick

Hi Guys

Newbie here looking for some answers to a very fustrating problem!!

I am trying to convert MKV to DVD using DVD Flick but it keeps on crashing when it begins to convert the audio. I get a message which says ffmpeg had encountered a problem and needs to close.....bla bla bla. I have also tried converting my MKV files with ConvertXtodvd but the audio goes out of sync during the film. The current problem I have with DVD Flick doesnt even get to the burning stage.
