I was trying to backup a movie and got this message when when I clicked on simple on dvdxcopy platinum:

could not load your drive information. Please run the Drive Selector application.
I am pretty new on computers, but trying.

    Thank you.

Perhaps your pc is not recognizing the dvd drive.
Or your driver for the dvd drive is not installed.

Just a thought, could be wrong.

This mite be a quick solution:

Run this, it will be in this location:

    C:\Program Files\321Studios\Platinum\DriveSelect.exe

    Hope this works

Can you help again? After I copy my movies how do I delete it from my hard drive?

I clicked on start =search-selected all files and folders and typed in .ISO and it didn't bring up any files.
    Thanks

Bridget it should be in your c drive you can delete it there so click start, click my computer ,then double click your c drive and it will open the folders and delete the folder from there.

    Hello again,

    Open the program,

    Click settings,

Look where it says Temporary folder,

    There it is.

But I think it should delete them itself after the burn.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks for all your help.
It does appear that the movie is deleted after its burned, because I couldn't find the file.

    Thanks again.

Bridget Im not new to this jus new to the software. Now I started with DVD X Copy Plat and found something that is much better without having to see their logo at the start of a movie. This is what you need and it's so simple.

    1. DVD Region & CSS Free v5.8..
    2. Nero Burn and NeroVision
    3. DVD Decrypter
    4. DVD Shrink

I use DVD Shrink on everything and never have a problem.Good Luck.

Bridget you will need anydvd running in the background with dvd shrink or dvd region+css free. any dvd i think is a better program than region+css and you will need a burning program you can use dvd decrypter for it most just use nero or you can use roxio also.hope this helps hun.

    Hello,

I have version 4.0.3.8 of DVDXCOPY Platinum, all of a sudden it has stopped working, meaning after clicking "I agree" the program freezes up, this is using the 'advance' tab. If I use the 'simple' tab, the program comes back saying 'could not load drive info, run drive selector application'. I've tried the solutions below. The C drive location could not be found, I tried D drive also (have 2 drives) also i've tried to select drive off of programs, dvd x copy, nothing comes up. Can someone help me.

    Thanks

The drive select program is simply in the location where xcopy is installed.

Although, with it freezing up, like you said, I would try to reinstall it if that pursues.

    Thanks for the reply,

I was hoping I would have to avoid, I am at my last install (3rd) per instructions...have had computer crash, now this. Or is it just last install, i've read that there are unlimited install now, somewhere on this site I thought. I had purchased full boxed version online.

    Thanks again
