problem copying vcd and svcd with nero and alcohol 120%

I can not copy svcd or vcd movies with nero or Alcohol 120%. Although the same movies were burned with a bundled version of nero for a Plextor burner. I use an MSI burner (if that matters), with the nero package which came with it. I have tried to just copy the mpeg files with both programs and each time the burn process stops at 12%. TMPegenc can not reencode the files and VCD Easy and VCD Gear can not make the MPEG files binary files. Any suggestions?

Have you tried to extract a bin cue with Alcohol??

    another step that might work:

use vcdeasy mpeg tools to extract(.DAT)mpeg from SVCD, then re-author SVCD with vcdeasy.

It's a longer process, but it's real simple.

I think he tried that already, if all he wants to do is copy then Alcohol 120% to extract an image and then burn would be his best option IMHO!

I have tried to burn Image with Alcohol and to extract the bin/cue with alcohol. I have not tried to extract the .dat file with VCD easy. I am currently burning the Image with Alcohol, but it is writing at .1x, because of so many read errors. After 9 hours, I only have 30% of one of the two disks. OUCH!!!
