Almost everytime i try to play an online video i get a prompt stating that the video cannot be played or that i need to activate java or download the newest version of Flash...but when i try to activate java, it shows its already activated and I'm not able to download flash from adobe's hompage...i click on download feature but nothing happens...why is my machine (laptop) being so stubborn? Thanks.

    Hey
You are lucky.I had the same problem. Here is the solution:

Remove Flash player by using Macromedia’s uninstall tool:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157

Then remove all contents of the folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed Especially any older flash content like flash 8 or older folders including any flash#.ocx and flash#.exe files. Restart the computer. Then visit Adobe’s website and download the newest version of Flash:

    http://www.adobe.com/downloads/

Restart your computer again and see if the flash content will play.
